![]() Just note that the values are tweaked for my e3d v6, so you might need changing it. If you want i can post a link to my curaengine profile. ![]() No, you can choose to slice with slic3r OR curaengine in repetier 1.0.6. I tried a couple of test and wasnt a very good success, can I see your settings plz? ![]() Sorry if I ask these questions but I just want to be sure that everything will work fine.īoth Slic3r and Cura are imbedded in Repetier 1.06, so they are not downloaded separately. So first I slice with slicer then I use Cura right? Is Cura inside the repetier package? O do I need to download it externally? It has far fewer tweakable parameters than Slic3R, but it gives me superior results nonetheless. Nevertheless, I tried Cura and immediately came to prefer it. My experience was that after several months of tweaking Slic3r parameters I got acceptable results. I should point that only the latest Windows version comes bundled with Cura. Download directly from the Repetier site, not from Velleman. I obtained Cura by downloading the latest version of Repetier Host, which comes bundled with Cura. Is it the file on the first thread still valid? Hello guys, Im a new printer guy, because im not so satisfied of the models created I want to try printing with CUra. I chose to adjust the extruder steps/mm in the firmware rather than lie about other parameters (for either slic3r or cura) I didn’t need to “fudge” any parameters to get good results from cura from the first time I tried it. I use cura exclusively except for vases because slic3r does a much better job for vases. I was fed up with my printer until I discovered that cura made far fewer travel moves and stays within perimeters for moves whenever possible. It is amazing how different peop0le get different results. I was having bad quality prints with Cura until I read the part about lying about the nozzle size.Īdjusting the extrusion multiplier or filament diameter probably does the same thing. I’ve now ditched RepetierHost on my laptop and just installed Cura as a stand-alone solution. I use Linux and have had to use a work laptop with Windows 7 to print with as RepetierHost crashes a little too often on Linux (for me at least). Use it with an Ultimaker account for the best experience, and take full advantage of Ultimaker Cloud and the Ultimaker Community, where you can offer valuable user feedback.Thank you all, this thread has been a great source of information for me. Keep your 3D printing workflow up-to-date with the industry by downloading Ultimaker Cura 4.2 today. This release fixes issues with font rendering, per-model settings, unnecessary travel moves, prime tower overlaps, printer hostnames, and more. It includes definitions for Creality CR10 Mini, CR10s, CR10s Pro, CR20, CR20 Pro, Ender 2, Ender 4 and Ender 5, and updates the definitions for CR10, CR10s4, CR10s5 and Ender3. Expanded third-party 3D printer supportĬreawsome mod. This version has pulled the Creawsome mod, made by trouch, which adds a lot of print profiles for Creality printers. You can now adjust material flow for specific features of your print, such as walls, infill, support, prime towers, and adhesion. Smart Z seam works by analyzing your model’s geometry and automatically choosing when to hide or expose the seam, so that visible seams on outer walls are kept to a minimum.įlow per feature. Control line spacing separately from flow settings. Smart Z seam. A new option to increase the aesthetic quality of your prints has been added to custom mode, under Z seam settings. vgribinchuk has contributed a new setting that lets you finetune the restart distance, so that the full extrusion width is achieved when resuming a print. Nozzle switch prime distance. Certain materials “ooze” more than others during retraction and long moves.
